FAN-FICTION

When Demons Rise and Angels Fall by Servant of SHEVAL (aka Tinni). Technically this is an FF7 fan-fiction, but it takes place in the Shades of Grey Universe. Makes it almost like a mystery, trying to figure out which characters will appear where. Interesting take on may aspects of the SoG world.

FAN-ART

"Hans' Little World" by DuskandDawn on DA! What I love about this piece is all the little details, particularly with the dolls. Hans' expression is also so soft and beautiful. Thank you!

8/24/07

Beautiful colored work of Hans by Senshuu! I particularly love the smoke-heart (hence the chosen thumbnail). You can check out her other great work on her DA page or her online Portfolio.

5/29/07

Yasha, Yasha, Yasha. I love you, you madly wicked thing. I love the things you send me, which make me laugh and shake my head and then scribble mini comics in response. Yasha of Demon-Alley, ladies and gentlemen!

5/29/07

An emotive and intense submission by Elena. Harkens back to David's tougher times, and lonely moments in the Rain.

5/25/07

I love Brand's look of total Rage in this. It's awesome. I suppose he's justified in it. If it's one thing both I and my readers like to do, it's pester poor Brand. Eh, he's a big boy. He can take it...I think. Thank you to (*)!

5/25/07

Speaking of pestering Brand, this one comes from Alia, also known as ~lady-of-many-hats on DA (check out her gallery!). Regarding this work, she said "Whenever I see these mini-wings I think of how pathetically cute they would be if they fluttered, and the noise they would make (I'm thinking like flicking through the pages of a thick book)." I never thought about how they would sound, but I think this is a neat idea!

5/25/07

Do you remember the Dustbunny incident? Well I sure do. Nasty little pests got into my Graphics Card and ate it like a Ranch-coated carrot buffet. Well Ah don't cotton ta suuch varmits round these pahrts, ya hear? Ah reccon sumbuddy ougtta do sumthin about it. An' that sumbuddy was the great ol' folks at Steve and Mac's place. Y'all prolly oughta look at their site now, or ah reccon we gonna have our'sel's words!

5/25/07

Tinni has a beautiful way with pencils, and this is no exception. When I look at this image, I think of Racy in a younger time. She could have beautiful, in her own way, when she was still innocent at heart. I think this work really brings that quality out. Thank you Tinni!

10/29/06

Present the third, and what an amazing gift it is! The texture, the use of spot color on stark black and white, it's just beautiful. Of course, I'm always wowed by Yasha's work. Check out Demon-Alley for more fantastic stuff!

10/29/06

Birthday present the second! Senshuu sent me this scheming Hans. Doesn't he look diabolical? You can check out her other great work on her DA page or her online Portfolio.

10/29/06

Birthday present! From the fun folks at Steve and Mac! I'll always remember to age with a laugh rather than a frown, thanks to their great gifts! Thank you!

9/16/06

I love to read the descriptions Skysong has on her DA Gallery. Not only is the image awesome, but the thought that went into it is amazing too! Remember the POV Guide? Skysong certainly kept it in mind when making this illustration of Hans. In her description she wrote: "...Now to explain the picture, the little edge thingies represent whose eyes we're looking through. The top is Brand, and the bottom is Grey..." How cool is that?! Fantastic. Thank you Skysong!

9/16/06

Not only can Skysong create somber and symbolic pieces, she's got a great sense of humor too! This comic is about what might happen if Grey came back and found out what Brand and David have been doing all this time...

09/01/06

Whenever I see an email in my mailbox from Tinni, I know to expect great things! This week she sent me not one, but two wonderful drawings. Here we have our somber Despair...

09/01/06

...Annnnd our resident Cotton-Candy-Head, Pain! With Rockin' boots. Seriously.

06/30/06

When I read Skysong's description of this piece on her DA Gallery I was amazed at the thought she put into the way she drew Id and Brand's markings. To quote the description: "On Brand, I made them look like bloodstains because he feels incredibly guilty about having a demon side (to say he has issues is like calling Mt. Everest "big"), and on Id, I made them look more like tattoos, because Id probably thinks they make him look dashing or something." Spot on with her analysis, btw. Brilliant!

06/30/06

Y'know what really gets me excited about getting fan art from Tinni? It's not just the great style, or the awesome job she does with drawing wings. It's also that she chooses to draw characters that no one else has. This is the first Sin fan art anyone has ever sent. Last week Tinni sent me the first Bells fan art. That's pretty darned cool, I say. Don't you agree?

06/23/06

Tinni is a fan of Bells, so she sent me this absolutely AWESOME image of Bells. Is that not the cutest face you've EVER seen? Doesn't he just look totally molestable? You'd spend money on him, wouldn't you? Yeah, I thought so. Just for the snuglins.

06/17/06

NoemZ of Zeera the Space Pirate is in fine form, as usual, with her top-quality giggle/guffaw inducing fanart.

*snicker* Nom...ah, I love it.

04/28/06

A bit of fun in the News section resulted in what I've decided to call "The Takedown Series." Reverie_shadow got the ball rolling with her first two submissions and then zephir1 stole that ball and ran with it. Regardless, should they ever make it to Hell, Brand may be wanting a word with them...

02/10/06

"Fallen From Grace" by R. N. Washburn. A beautiful image of a stern David in his crazy-coat and a sorrowful Grey kneeling at his side. If you'd like to see more, visit Washburn's website, Løgic Errør, or her DA gallery.

12.15.05

Meaghan of Dark Ocean Whisper reasserts her claim as the Best Fan Evah by sending not one, not two, but three wonderful fan art pieces! This first one is entitled "Mine."

12.15.05

The second gift is the first fan art of Epoch ever! In his (as I have one person call it) 'Wrestler's Mask.' Of Mystery. Yeah.

12.15.05

The third is sweet enough to make your heart rot and your teeth turn to goo as you sigh "Awww..." Okay, maybe not your heart, but mine certainly did. Just cuz I've got one. Sheesh.

11.12.05

A lovely stylistic rendition of Grace's expulsion from Heaven, titled "Damnation: Grace Falling From Heaven" by Brad.

11.12.05

A nifty sketch of Grey/Grace, Brand and David by Daniel.

11.05.05

A SoG fan comic from Kevin of the online comic Steve and Mac!If you enjoy the humor you should check out his comic for more chuckles, giggles, and guffaws.

11.05.05

A belated birthday gift from Kevin of the online comic Steve and Mac, dealing with the many "joys" of aging. Thank you very much!

10.29.05

A gentle and happy David, created using watercolors and other traditional media by RekKa of Skyfall for a wonderful birthday gift! Thank you very much!

10.29.05

A wonderfully sleek and sly Grey sent by Yasha of Demon-Alley, as well as the online comics Unobsequy and Soul7 for my birthday! I couldn't imagine a better gift!

10.22.05

First fan art of David ever! And what a piece it is! Perfectly nailed on the head the point I've been trying to get across with David's struggle. Brought to us by Jenshin of the online comic Two Moons! Check it out! I so need to do an image of Cyff. My fingers are itching to hold a pencil just thinking about it...

10.08.05

A most spectacular way to start October, I must say, to recieve such a gorgeous piece of fan art. For the one character in SoG who fights for love, Yasha brings us the lovely work. Like her work? Then check out her online art portfolio, Demon-Alley, or her online comics Unobsequy and Soul7!

09.23.05

Have you ever wondered what happened to Despair waaaay back in Chapter Three part one? Well, NoemZ of Zeera the Space Pirate has given us an answer. In the form of Fan Art, no less! So what are you waiting for? The answer awaits!

07.22.05

From what must be SoG's most enthusiastic fan, Madeleine! A fully colored piece of Grey looming over her former incarnation. Spooky! Thanks very much for your art and emails Madeleine!

06.30.05

A Shades of Grey Parody, based off of Han's return to "life" in the first part of Chapter Three. Sent by Nikki, the SoG Brand/Hans Fangirl. Keep rooting for it and maybe it will happen...or maybe I'll just drop tantalizing hints just to torment you. Either way, it'll involve a lot of cackling on my part.

06.25.05

A lovely and very insightful card for Grace/Grey. Queen of Hearts and Queen of Spades. The most loving and the most deadly of the suits. Well chosen indeed. My thanks to Christy. If you like what you see here, be sure to visit her website Draconic Duo for more of her work!

01.22.05

This image here is brought to you by Charlie, who just happened to doodle something absolutely adorable. Brand looks so...so Cute! I just want to hug him and squeeze him and - okay, that's it. I'm getting a Brand Plushy someday. This fangirl thing is getting WAY out of hand so I may as well indulge it, right?

11.13.04

And then, since giggling for days wasn't enough for RekKa, she decided that she'd have me hospitalized for uncontrollable fits of joy and hemorrhaging of the nose by sending me the gift to the left. Which I have since printed out, put on magnets, and placed on my fridge so every morning Brand and I can get dressed together. Fangirl of my own characters? Guilty as charged. AND if you haven't visited RekKa's Web-Comic Skyfall you should stop being a slacker and visit it, particularly if you are a fellow fangirl. *sigh* Nesshy...

10.23.04

This week I was presented with this lovely gift, courtesy of RekKa of Skyfall fame, which made me giggle uncontrollably like a fan girl over my own character for a ridiculous amount of time. Like days. This almost, almost makes me want Brand to mystically get over all his problems so he could be so cool. As it is, we'll all have to just stare at the fanart and dream of the future. A future filled with a bad-ass non-conflicted Brand....mmmm....

10.16.04

Ink Bunny is back, and flexing her CG skills to show Brand at his best...er, worst? By which I mean to say, he is resplendent in all his demonic glory. Y'know, I never thought about green for his horns, but I think they look pretty good that way. Maybe I'll have to tweak his design again to incorporate that. Hmmm...Want to see more? Check out the DA Gallery.

10.16.04

This is from Carla who has sketched up the two sides of our protagonist/antagonist Grey/Grace. I really like the eye on Grey's side. I'm a succer for well drawn eyes.

06.30.04

Just when you thought there was no hope in sight for Brand ever looking anything other than depressed and unshaven, Ink Bunny soars to the rescue with her "posh-like" Brand. (I like that phrase..."posh-like"...) Thank you! Want to see more? Check out the DA Gallery.

04.17.04

I do declare that this is by far one of the funniest things I have ever recieved. I laughed so hard when I saw this! My thanks to NoemZ creator of Zeera the Space Pirate for sending it to me!

1.03.04

Huzzah! In the best way ever to start the new year, Wilson sends his rendition of an old favorite!

6.28.03

Wow...I wish I could make this into a poster and put it on my wall to stare at in a state of disbelieving bliss. Yeah....it's that good. So's Alex's comic, No Need For Bushido, so what are you waiting for? Go! Go!

6.28.03

Another pretty image from Laura! Grey/Grace getting her Hell on, it seems. Angst and all that depression.

5.30.03

Y'know what I like? Brand. Y'know why? Cuz he looks good. Y'know when he looks especially good? When Meaghan, the Best Fan Ever, draws him! Woot!

05.10.03

Meaghan continues to spoil me with gifts! It's always great getting an email from her, because more often than not there's fan art! She actually sent this a few weeks ago, but I wanted to save it for this update. Sorry it took so long!

03.01.03

Pretty! By Laura. We expect great things from her we do...greeaaat things. As long as she updates more often!

02.22.03

A funny piece by Thorin. So that is what you people think those squiggly lines are for!

02.17.03

My first piece of fan art ever! I love the way Meaghan did the eyes especially. Thank you!
